About

Abe Shaw is a nobody, and that is a proud statement. I am not an individual that can even claim to be a writer, not yet at least. I am not famous. I do not hold some intellectual prowess to flex at people. Instead amongst the ebbs and flows I am lucky to sometimes find myself reaching above average in any measurement. The peak of academic achievement is a bachelor’s degree in politics and international relations. Therefore, you shouldn’t expect too much from me. I am truly happy to acknowledge this, but I believe this makes it more important to express my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As without the common people to do this we are left with the vanity of podcasters and tech billionaires, which are devoid of understanding the beautiful things in life that makes this world worth living in, filling the vacuum instead.

So, what may any reader that comes across my written work expect to see? There will be thoughts on contemporary political issues at the heart of British politics, and anything of international interest that impacts us all equally in a globalised world. As it feels every year that passes these days, the world cranks up in tension, insanity, and leaves us all feeling lost. I find enjoyment sprinkled with a bit of comfort in breaking the information overload down to understand myself better in the political landscape, and what outcomes I want to see from our fragile little world. I will admit though, that this sort of writing takes up the least of my time, as I find greater purpose in working on many different pieces and projects that leave me feeling more positive than the above after a few hours of writing. What I enjoy writing most at times is nothing of particular interest or as significant as the forever consuming world of politics.

Under the “Life” section of this blog I intend to write about everything, without specific purpose or meaning. In an equilibrium interesting stuff happens to everyone, as much as the benign existence. For most the balance is often tipped in favour of the latter. That does not mean it is not worth discussing, as with enough curiosity about the interactions we have, the daydreams we find ourselves in, and the actions we take. You’ll always find something worth exploring. Not for any end goal or purpose it’s just the enjoyment of the journey you undertake. The material in this section may exist without any rhyme or reason. With most likely little to no consistency, but all you need to do is spare a few minutes of your time to indulge. Who knows what you will be left with at the end of a page, but you can only give it a chance to find out. Any photo uploaded on this life section does not necessarily hold a connection to the written content, but rather I find happiness in sharing this so just enjoy each one! I’m sure a marketing expert hates that I do this. Oh well!
